CV Middle School Update (9-23-2024)

Good morning CVMS Families:

Today is Monday, September 23 – Day #1

It’s been a fantastic second week of school, and we couldn’t be prouder of how the students are settling in! As we look ahead to next week, our P2 (Positivity Project) trait will be Teamwork—a perfect theme to carry the positive energy forward.

Inspired by Ted Lasso’s belief that “taking on a challenge is a lot easier when you’ve got people in your corner,” we’ll be encouraging students to work together, support one another, and grow as a team—both in the classroom and beyond.
Let’s get ready for another great week as we cheer each other on and build something special together!

Thanks for your continued support.

P2Theme of the WeekTeamwork
Strengths of justice refer to the optimal relationship between the individual and the group or community, rather than the more one-to-one relationships in the humanity virtue. These strengths include: teamwork/citizenship, fairness and leadership.

“We keep moving forward, opening new 'Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Work together is success.'”
-Henry Ford

The Chenango Valley Middle School and High School will be conducting a routine evacuation drill on 9/24/24 with a rain date of 9/25/24, and a Lockdown Drill on 9/27/24. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. Please know that students will be informed that this is only a drill and not an actual emergency. Please refer to the update from Dr. Dake that was sent to all families on 9/6/24 for more information.  That update can be found here: Notification Process for Annual Safety Drills (2024-2025 School Year) (stier.org)

Have a Great Day!
