CV Middle School Update (10-7-2024)

Good morning CV Middle School Families,

Today is Monday, October 7th - Day #5

We’re thrilled to have reached the 23rd day of what has been an amazing school year so far! The energy and enthusiasm your children bring each day make it truly special.

This week, our theme is Being Present and Giving Others My Attention. We are emphasizing the importance of focus—whether in class, with friends, or during activities. By being fully present, students can build stronger connections and be more engaged in their learning.

Thank you for your continued support as we guide our students through these meaningful lessons!

  • Thursday, October 10th – Go Home Early Drill – Dismissal @ 2:00 p.m.
Attendance:
  • School attendance is extremely important for all learners. The expectation is that students must attend all scheduled classes. Regular daily attendance is the biggest indicator of educational success. If you are having issues getting your son or daughter engaged in school, please feel free to reach out to me or our Guidance Office for assistance.
Tech Reminders:
  • Chromebooks must be shut down each and every day.
  • Chromebooks must be fully charged every night.
  • Schoology – Students must check the update tab in teachers Schoology page each day for important information from their teacher.
  • School Email – Students must check school email daily.
Yearbook information:
The Chenango Valley Middle School and High School will be conducting a routine evacuation drill on 10/8/24 with a rain date of 10/9/24. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. Please know that students will be informed that this is only a drill and not an actual emergency. Please refer to the update from Dr. Dake that was sent to all families on 9/6/24 for more information.  That update can be found here: Notification Process for Annual Safety Drills (2024-2025 School Year) (stier.org)
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and secure school environment.

Please reach out of you have any questions.

Have a Great Day!
