Chenango Valley Central School District Closure
UPDATE (3/27/2020): On March 27, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that all New York State public schools (including Chenango Valley Central School District) will remain closed until April 15, as he continues to monitor and assess the COVID-19 situation. We will continue to provide additional updates to families as they become available.

The Chenango Valley School District has a nine-member Board of Education that typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Chenango Valley Middle School/High School Library, located at 221 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton, NY 13901. The Executive Session of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.; the Regular Session begins at 7:00 p.m. *Please note: Updates and schedule changes will be posted on our district website.

The Primary function of the Board of Education is to formulate broad educational policies in harmony with state laws for schools. Among many other responsibilities, the Chenango Valley Board of Education approves and adopts the annual school budget before it is presented to the voters; approves financial reports such as the monthly Clerk report; approves all job appointments and resignations; approves all bids; approves all special education placements; and establishes policies such as Use of District Facilities Policy, the Student and Employee Anti-Harassment Policy and the Computer Usage and Guidelines Policy.

All Board of Education policies are currently being updated in conjunction with the Erie I BOCES policy service. In the interim, the existing policies followed in the district are available through the link below. We will update these online documents as they become available.
