What is a Community School?
In partnership with Broome-Tioga BOCES, the Chenango Valley Central School District supports the Community Schools model. A "Community School" is an approach, not a program. Every Community School looks different as it is a needs-based approach.

The idea of a Community School is that the school acts as the "hub" of the community. It brings together educators, families, and community resources/stakeholders. The goal is to make this Community School a place where the community gathers to support not only the education of its students, but where the entire family can be connected to the rest of the community.

The mission of Chenango Valley Community Schools is really an extension of the mission of the district with an added theme of connection and collaboration.

Our Mission: We inspire, engage, empower and connect with all students, families, and community members to achieve their full potential.
