Chenango Valley uses several tools to keep families informed about school updates, alerts, and transportation information. Use the sections below to find what you need.

Text and Email Alerts

How to Opt In

Due to FCC rules, families must opt in to receive text message alerts from Chenango Valley.

  • You will receive a text asking for permission

  • You must approve the message once to begin receiving alerts

If you have already opted in but are still not receiving text alerts, please try texting Yes to 87569.


Please note: Voice call alerts are currently sent only to students’ primary contacts when needed. If voice alerts are added in the future, you can enable them by checking the “Voice” option after logging in.

School and District-Level Email Updates

Families regularly receive email updates about important district and school updates.

If you are not receiving any emails from your child’s principal or the district:

  • Check that your contact information is correct
  • Update your email address or phone number as needed

Transportation Notifications (Stopfinder)

Chenango Valley uses the Stopfinder app as the primary way to share transportation information with families, including bus schedules, delays, and updates.

The district’s general text and email alert system is not used for daily transportation updates, but is still be used for weather-related closings and other important districtwide notifications.
