As we prepare for an exciting new school year, I’m reminded of the energy and enthusiasm that fills our hallways each September. One of my favorite moments is seeing the smiles on students' faces as they reunite with friends and meet their new teachers. It’s these moments that truly capture the spirit of our school community, and I look forward to experiencing them again this year.
Free Breakfasts and Lunches Continue for the 2024-2025 School Year We have been approved to once again offer free school breakfasts and lunches for all Chenango Valley students for the 2024-2025 school year.
We kindly ask parents/caregivers to still complete the income application. Your participation in this process helps our district qualify for additional funding that supports various educational initiatives and resources. CV Transportation – Stopfinder App
On Monday, August 26, CV Transportation sent an email invitation for the new Stopfinder App to the primary contact of each student scheduled to ride the bus. We encourage you to sign up for this app, which provides real-time bus updates, estimated arrival times, and important notifications. Planning Ahead – Half Day and Two-Hour Delay Dates
A reminder of the following half days and two-hour delay days to help with planning:
Half Days (Elementary Only, Caregiver-Teacher Conferences): - November 14, 2024
- November 15, 2024
| Half Days (All Grades): - January 24, 2025
- February 7, 2025
- March 28, 2025
| Two-Hour Delay Days (Students Only):
New this year, we are trying out planned two-hour delays. These delays are designed to enhance the quality of education by allowing our staff to engage in essential professional development without the need for additional half days. We have scheduled two-hour delays for students only on the following dates: - October 25, 2024
- May 30, 2025
On these two-hour delay days, students will begin their school days two hours after their normal start times.
Note: No AM only pre-K classes on two-hour delay days. Full-day pre-K will attend on the two-hour delay schedule with normal dismissal times. |
