Good afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well on a Wednesday afternoon. This evening at 6pm, I will be sending a Robo Call with this information and also wanted to send it as an email. There are two important calendar reminders I want to pass along for the next two weeks.
First, we will have a half-day for all students this upcoming Friday, February 7th. Our Middle and High Schools will dismiss at 11:20am, and Chenango Bridge and Port Dickinson will dismiss walkers and pick-ups at 12:05pm, with buses to load upon arrival.
Then, next week is a four-day school week, with no school on Friday, February 14th as part of President’s Day weekend. We will also be off on Monday, February 17th for President’s Day, and regular schedules will resume on Tuesday, February 18th.
Finally, as we look into tomorrow morning (Thursday, 2/6), we will be watching the forecast and will be monitoring conditions that may impact student transportation. Any decision on a delay would be made and communicated by 5:45am. Then, if we were to close after a delay, any decision on closure would be made and communicated by 8am.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and please have a wonderful rest of your evening.
Sincerely,
Dr. Larry Dake
Superintendent of Schools
