Dear Chenango Valley Families,

The district was made aware this morning of a social media item that has been circulating related to Chenango Valley. Working closely with law enforcement and school officials, we have determined that the post is not credible.

Our schools will operate as normal today, and we will continue to maintain our daily vigilant safety protocols. Although this item is not deemed credible, we take any information brought to our attention seriously, as the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

As a reminder, our daily safety protocols include controlled entry for all visitors and regular patrols by our School Resource Officers. 

Please speak with your children about the importance of responsible social media use, and we encourage both students and adults to report any concerns to school officials or law enforcement.
