We want to inform you about a report we received today regarding an alleged threat made through a direct message on social media involving a secondary school student. The report was investigated immediately, the threat was quickly deemed non-credible, and it is believed that the threat originated from a fake account. Thanks to the quick reporting, the district was able to promptly work with law enforcement and follow established protocols to handle the situation without any disruption to the school day.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of monitoring your child's social media activity and encouraging responsible online behavior. If you notice any concerning behavior or messages, please report them immediately to school officials or law enforcement. Early reporting helps us address potential issues quickly and ensures the safety of our school environment.
