Good morning CV High School families,
Welcome to a new week here at the high school! This week’s P2 trait is Being Present and Giving Others My Attention.
Upcoming events - Here are a few HS specific events coming up:
- Rally in the Valley: 10/9/24: Hope to see you there! It’s always a fun night for the whole family!
- End of the 5 week marking period: 10/11/24: Progress reports will be sent home Thurs, 10/17.
- Columbus Day: 10/14/24 - No school
- French Exchange students arrive to school: 10/15/24 - Students from France will arrive to spend a few weeks at CV High School!
- Board of Education Meeting: 10/16/24 - 7 p.m. - Warrior Rooms B/C (Next to CV Middle/High School Library)
- Homecoming weekend: 10/18/24-10/19/24 - Stay tuned for details on Homecoming weekend! Please see attached for spirit week themes next week.
Senior breakfast date change: We will be changing the date of our senior breakfast. It was originally scheduled for Oct 5th-we will communicate a new date as soon as we can.
Chenango Valley Middle School and High School will be conducting a routine evacuation drill on 10/8/24 with a rain date of 10/9/24. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. Please know that students will be informed that this is only a drill and not an actual emergency. Please refer to the update from Dr. Dake that was sent to all families on 9/6/24 for more information. That update can be found here:
Notification Process for Annual Safety Drills (2024-2025 School Year) (stier.org) Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and secure school environment.
In addition, we will conduct our annual early dismissal drill on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Please note that the dismissal process will begin 15 minutes earlier than usual for all Chenango Valley schools on this day. Please plan accordingly for your student’s early dismissal on October 10.
