CV High School Update 4-11-2024

Hello High School Families!

I can’t believe the fourth quarter of the 2023-24 school year begins Monday! Can you believe that we only have 43 school days left until Regents exams begin?! This year has gone quickly! I have several important reminders below. Please read carefully and reach out with whatever you need!
  1. Attendance now is extremely important. We are in the final stretch and review for finals and Regents will begin before you know it. Please be sure to stress all-day attendance for your child.
  2. Yearbooks will be on sale online until we are sold out! If you'd like to purchase a 2024 high school yearbook, please go to ybpay.lifetouch.com and use code 12854524. Get one while supplies last!
  3. We have several upcoming events I would like to bring to your attention.
    1. April 25: Join us for Community Night on Thursday, April 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chenango Valley Middle/High School campus for an evening of free family fun, games, food, and the chance to connect with community agencies. During Community Night, you can also experience our Touch a Bus event. Check out an electric bus firsthand and ask questions before voting on the bus proposition on May 21. We hope to see you there!
    2. May 11: On Saturday, May 11, a Walk-a-Thon to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will take place at the Chenango Valley High School stadium track. This event is sponsored by the CV Athletic Club, in collaboration with, and inspired by, CV High School Math 9 students. Your participation will not only support an important cause but also empower students by applying their math skills in a real-world setting. You can sign up here (pre-register by April 26): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSceD6PonlM6RvJWWTfRLENsdCviCj665eRNkPTLdXbnZdsUhQ/viewform
    3. May 17: We will be hosting a spring carnival on May 17 from 8-11:30 am—this is our last ½ day for the school year. Student Council is organizing a fun morning for our high school students!

    5. May 21: School budget vote
