Due to a driver shortage at this time, we want to make sure families are aware of some important transportation updates effective as of April 23, 2024:

PM Routes:
  • Until further notice, middle and high school students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird and 198 Kangaroo in the afternoon. Drop off may be earlier or later than usual.
  • Until further notice, Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird and 206 Eagle in the afternoon. Drop off may be earlier or later than usual.
AM Routes:
  • Until further notice, middle and high school students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird, 198 Kangaroo, or 197 Butterfly in the morning. Pick up may be earlier or later than usual.
  • Until further notice, Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Bus 201 Rooster in the morning. Pick up may be earlier or later than usual.

2024-25 Sports Physicals Reminder

Attention Chenango Valley Families of Students Entering Grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 School Year!
 
Is your student, who will be entering grades 7 through 12, planning to participate in sports next school year at Chenango Valley Central School District? Secure their physical now, and they'll be covered for physical examination requirements for all sports seasons—fall, winter, and/or spring—during the 2024-2025 school year.

Details of UHS Physical Exams at Chenango Valley:

  • Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2024
  • Scheduling: Physicals will be conducted by UHS during the school day, ideally during a study hall or free period to minimize class disruption.
 
Parents/caregivers must sign up by Tuesday, May 21, for students to receive a physical at CV on Wednesday, May 22.
 
 
If you prefer to have a physical conducted elsewhere, please ensure it is completed in time to meet state requirements.

  • We have recently been made aware of third-party solicitors advertising as athletic streaming events online. Please DO NOT sign up for subscriptions for athletic event streaming, unless otherwise specified by the district.
  • The NFHS network is used by some of our local school districts to stream their contests (which includes a fee).
  • As a reminder, the Chenango Valley Athletics Department uses a YouTube channel - CVATHLETICS1 (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC60I74tulFWD0qJvWyy6lxg) and CV Zoom Webinar Links for streaming home events. For away contests, streaming links are usually shared by the away school’s designated social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, etc., or through the Chenango Valley Athletic Office / Coaches via FamilyID direct communication. If you have questions, please reach out to your coach or the athletics office.
