Congratulations to ninth grade student Becca Pospisil who received a Gold Key for her submission of the poem “Teenage Girlhood” in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! Becca’s poem now moves on to judging at the national level. Amazing work!

Becca submitted the poem into the competition on her own accord. She said that she uses writing as a creative outlet to articulate her feelings and experiences.

“I’ve always enjoyed writing,” said Becca. “It’s just really a way for me to express myself.”
