Students Learn About Retail Management Through Future Fridays Presentations

presenter speaking with students

On January 6, seniors in Mrs. Preston’s Foundations of College Math classes gained insight on what a retail service management career entails during Future Fridays presentations. Thank you to Mr. Andy Kline, the store manager of Lowe’s in Cortland, for visiting!

During his presentations, Mr. Kline spoke with students about his role. He also discussed how to pursue a career in retail management and shared some of the math skills he uses on a daily basis.

Future Fridays introduce students to local professionals from a variety of careers. Students are able to ask them questions about their duties as well as how math can be incorporated into their responsibilities. The goal is to expose these seniors to various career paths, discover what it would take to pursue each path, and help them start a network of connections for future employment.

We look forward to more Future Fridays presentations to come with additional community partners!
