Congratulations to Chenango Valley High School Class of 2023 seniors Joshua Coddington, Lauren Hart, and Tyler Norton who recently earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy!
Each will receive this distinction on their diplomas when they graduate in June. According to the New York State Education Department, the New York State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English.
As a result of hard work and dedication, Tyler received this distinction for French, and Joshua and Lauren received the distinction for Latin. Joshua and Lauren are the first from CV to earn the Seal for Latin. Thank you to all educators who helped to make this accomplishment possible!
