Dear Port Dickinson Elementary Families,
We had a fun day of learning at our Wellness Day on Friday. Students participated in activities around exercise, nutrition, hydration, and learning about how to relax.
Spirit Week will be celebrated this week from 2/13 to 2/16:
- 2/13 - Show love of comfort - wear pajamas or sweats
- 2/14 - Show love of Valentine’s Day - wear red, pink and/or hearts
- 2/15 - Show love in a wacky, tacky way - wear mismatched clothes and/or fun hair
- 2/16 - Show love the Warrior Way - wear red, grey warrior gear
Reminder from Mrs. Kresge, our school nurse: "We are seeing a number of cases of strep throat in our school. Secretions from the mouth and nose of an infected person can spread strep throat. Symptoms of strep throat include fever, (not always present) , sore throat, headache, nausea, vomiting, stomachache, and fatigue. If your child has any of these symptoms, it would be a good idea to take him/her to the doctor to be checked for strep throat."
STEAM Night Family event will be held February 23 at the CV Middle School from 6 - 7:30 PM: This free and exciting event includes a variety of educational activities centered around science, technology, engineering, art and math! Looks like a fun night out with your family.
I've seen the sun at least twice but it doesn’t compare with the sunshine these PK through second graders emit. It’s a joy working with your children.
