Congratulations to Chenango Valley High School Class of 2024 senior, Tyler Schultz, who signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Men’s Swimming and Diving team at Binghamton University! The signing event took place on May 1.
Coach Frayer recognized Tyler for his commitment and achievements and noted the Schultz family's swim accomplishments as a whole. Tyler's siblings have also both attended Binghamton University and swam there as well.
Tyler has been a varsity swimmer for six years and has qualified for the state championships three times, placing fourth in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Breaststroke in 2024. He is a three-time Section IV Class B Champion in these events for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, and holds the Section IV records for both. Additionally, Tyler has set school records in the 200 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 500 Freestyle, and 100 Breaststroke, demonstrating his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
With the room full of support from family, friends, coaches, and school representatives at his signing event, Tyler expressed his gratitude for all of their help getting to this point.
Tyler plans to major in electrical engineering. Chenango Valley wishes him the best of luck in all his future endeavors!
