On May 4, Chenango Valley athletes joined participants from Broome and Tioga County, to compete in the Special Olympics Spring Games at the CV High School Stadium.
Wonderful job to all the athletes who competed! We would like to give a special shout-out to our very own CV athletes who topped the scoreboards:
- Ava Briggs secured first place in Softball (41’10”) and the 100m race (15.97s) for girls aged 12-15, and had the fastest women’s 100m time overall!
- Aryonna Holcomb secured first place in both the 100m (16.03s) and Softball (64’9”) for girls aged 8-11.
- Rowan Holcomb secured first place in Softball (63’8”) and Shotput (16’2”) for boys aged 12-15.
- Carter Holcomb secured first place in Shotput (16’) and Standing Long Jump (5’0”) for boys aged 8-11.
