Hello to all of our wonderful families and students at PD!
We have started the month of June this week and have a very busy few weeks ahead of us.
There are some very important highlights to share with all of you:
1) Our last day of school for Grades Pre-K through 8 is on Thursday, 6/23/2022. Please note that the last full day of school is on Friday, 6/17/2022. There is no school in observance of Juneteenth on Monday, 6/20/2022. Our last three days of school are all 1/2 days with dismissal at 12:20 PM. The half days are Tuesday, 6/21/2022; Wednesday, 6/22/2022; and Thursday, 6/23/2022
2) We are collecting all of our students' iPads on Friday, June 10, 2022. After this day, the iPads will remain in school and not coming home any more.
3) There is a CV Elementary PTA Meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 7:00 PM at PD Elementary School in the Library. Please join us as we share all of the wonderful things that this organization does for our kids.
4) Thanks to PTA, we have sent home the list of free June Movies for your families to enjoy.
5) There are fun-filled days coming up for all of our kids and our grade level teams have been communicating with you about the details of these events. Here is a list of dates for you to have as a reference:
- June 7th, 2022: Grade 2 students are visiting CB for a tour of what life as a third grader will be like next school year. Our visit will be one hour in length.
- June 8th, 2022: Pre-K Family Day at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM
- June 10th, 2022: SENIOR WALK (Seniors are visiting us at PD); first grade "FUN DAY" at PD Park; "Cotton Candy Day"
- June 13th, 2022: First grade Sing-A-Long and second grade field trip to Animal Adventure
- June 14th, 2022: First grade field trip to Animal Adventure
- June 15th, 2022: Field Days (sponsored by our PTA)
- June 16th, 2022: Kindergarten Teddy Bear Picnic and visit to Fenton Free Library
- June 17th, 2022: Kindergarten Field Trip to Animal Adventure and second grade "Activity Day" Day at PD Park
- June 21st, 2022: Second grade slide show at 10:30 AM
- June 22nd, 2022: Kindergarten Graduation at 10:45 AM
- June 23rd, 2022: "Popcorn and Movie Day" and the last day of school for the kids!
