The Chenango Valley School District Board of Education typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the Chenango Valley Middle School/High School Library Warrior Rooms, located at 221 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton, NY 13901. The Executive Session of the meeting typically begins at 6:30 p.m.; the Regular Session typically begins at 7:00 p.m. *Please note: Updates and schedule changes will be posted on our district website.
The primary function of the Board of Education is to formulate broad educational policies in harmony with state laws for schools. Among many other responsibilities, the Chenango Valley Board of Education approves and adopts the annual school budget before it is presented to the voters; approves financial reports such as the monthly Clerk report; approves all job appointments and resignations; approves all bids; approves all special education placements; and establishes policies such as Use of District Facilities Policy, the Student and Employee Anti-Harassment Policy and the Computer Usage and Guidelines Policy.
