On March 9, CV Middle School continued a tradition to promote healthy lifestyle choices. During the school’s 14th Wellness Day, students had the opportunity to take part in a day-long series of workshops and activities focused on multiple aspects of health and well-being.
The event began with keynote speaker Bill Clark, a CV High School teacher and World Champion/Guinness World Record-holding professional strongman. Mr. Clark spoke on “being the best version of you,” including empowering messages about perseverance, recognizing your unique strengths and skills, and working hard to build upon those skills to reach your greatest potential. He also performed strength demonstrations.
Following the keynote presentation, students had the chance to engage in a variety of sessions throughout the school day, thanks to many wonderful community partners who provided their time and resources.
