Chenango Valley’s presentations at the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Annual Convention and Education Expo in Buffalo, NY, on October 27 were student-focused. They included topics such as the Seal of Civic Readiness in practice through Participation in Government, the Valley Unveiled student-run magazine, the Make a Difference Club and its vision for the Warrior Drop-In Room, as well as administration and systems. Students facilitated panel presentations and engaged in breakout group sessions. The audience, consisting of board members and administrators from around the state, was highly engaged, and the students were well-prepared to address questions. Chenango Valley’s goal was to highlight its current programs and help other districts implement similar initiatives. The district was very proud of the preparedness and dedication of our student participants.
