On November 19, Caden Atkinson, a Chenango Valley High School senior, participated in the Big 44 Ernie Davis/Floyd Little All-Star Classic Football Game at Vestal High School. This is a select event for senior athletes. The game featured Team Davis (Section IV athletes) versus Team Little (Section III athletes). Section IV ultimately won 16-14. For Caden, the win was just one aspect of the game’s highlights.

After being nominated and selected for the game, Caden participated in two days of trial practices to determine team placements. His hard work earned him the position of middle linebacker. “It was a fantastic opportunity, and I was ecstatic to be part of it,” Caden said, also noting his gratitude for the teammates he met during this experience.

Caden hopes his efforts will inspire other Warriors to pursue this opportunity in the future. “I hope that the younger players look at this as a chance to work hard and earn their spot,” he added.
