PLC Work at Chenango Valley Continues to Move Forward

Chenango Valley had the pleasure of hosting Barb Phillips and Emily Basten, Professional Learning Community (PLC) representatives from Solution Tree, on October 2. During their visit, they toured the district's schools and engaged in insightful conversations with educators, administrators, and staff. These collaborative discussions dived into the heart of educational excellence, exploring the essential steps and strategies that will guide our district towards becoming a distinguished model school.

On October 6, department meetings were held to review common formative assessments based on essential standards. This helped prepare for the first common team time the following week, where the focus would be on discussing assessment results and making necessary adjustments to ensure students' needs were met. They focused on the first quarter essential standards, refining assessments, and providing these to students in the coming week.
