At the April 22 Chenango Valley Board of Education meeting, we celebrated recent student achievements. Highlights featured our exceptional student musicians who excelled in All-County festivals and our gifted student artists who earned recognition in this year's Scholastic Art Awards, securing four of the eight regional awards. Two students are advancing to the national adjudication. Mr. Wilson, Madame Henyan, and the officers of the Travel and Culture Club shared insights from their recent travels to Italy and Spain.
In addition, the Chenango Valley Central School District was recognized for receiving the Utica National Insurance Group’s “2024 School Safety Excellence Award." This award is presented annually and recognizes districts for continued efforts in working to keep their school environment safe. CV has received this award for more than a dozen consecutive years. A $500 check for the use of continuing safety efforts was also received as part of the award.
