On March 28, the Chenango Valley High School Travel and Culture Club set off on a ten-day journey through Italy and Spain. The trip was designed to explore the rich cultures and historic landmarks of these two countries, with the itinerary spanning some of their most iconic cities.

In Italy, their exploration included Rome, where they spent two enchanting days immersed in the city’s ancient history and breathtaking art. The group visited Vatican City, marveled at the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, and saw the famous Trevi Fountain. They also visited the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, and the ruins of the Roman Forum.

Their journey also took them to Florence, where they visited the Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Gates of Paradise, and the bustling San Lorenzo Market.

After Italy, they headed to Spain. In Madrid, the group explored the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza Mayor, the Mercado de San Miguel, the Royal Palace, and the Museo del Prado.

In Barcelona, they explored the Ramblas, admired the Sagrada Familia, relaxed in Park Guell, and took in the views from Montjuic.

This adventure was certainly a testament to the beauty of exploring and learning about new cultures and places.
