At Chenango Valley, our mission is to inspire, engage, and empower all students to achieve their full potential. This mission expands the ten-month school year. Therefore, with the help of the programs listed below, our district is proud to present FREE opportunities for our students to continue their educational growth year-round.

**Please note that all grades reflected refer to grade levels that students will be enrolled in for the 2021-2022 school year.**

Elementary Summer STEAM
(Grades: 1-6)
Dates: July 26 - August 5, 2021
Times: 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. (Mon. - Thurs.)
Location
CV Middle School/High School

  • Our popular CV Elementary Summer STEAM camp is back! This year’s projects will focus on the theme of “Our Backyard” and we hope to incorporate at least one speaker from the community for our session!
  • Students will reinforce and practice academic skills through hands-on, project-based learning.
  • Students will be grouped in first/second, third/fourth and fifth/sixth grade classes. Students will meet Monday - Thursday for two (2) weeks.

Warrior Academy
(Grades: 6-12)
Dates: July 7 - August 12, 2021
Session 1: 6:30 - 8:00 a.m. (Intense 10-12)
Session 2: 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. (9-12)
Session 3: 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. (8-12)
Session 4: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (6-12)
Location
CV Middle School/High School

  • Strength and conditioning academy for all CV students in grades 6 through 12!
  • Integrated UHS Athletic Trainer & UHS Human Performance Trainer!
  • Students will focus on strength/conditioning/flexibility/agility training for ALL SPORTS!
  • Students will also participate in “Theme Weeks” to focus on specific topics in athletic training.

Summer 2019

Warrior FUNdamentals
Dates: July 12 - July 22, 2021
Times: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Mon. - Thurs.)
Location:
 CV Middle School/High School

  • Our new offering this summer is Warrior FUNdamentals. We’ve designed this session as a way to provide an opportunity for restorative learning.
  • Students will be invited to this session based on teacher recommendations and end-of-year data benchmarks. Families will receive an invitation letter with a direct link to register for this program.
  • Students will receive support in their targeted areas through the use of fun, project-based learning and skill reinforcement.
  • Students will meet Monday - Thursday for two (2) weeks.
  • If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s current classroom teacher.

Warrior Welcome
(Kindergarten)
Dates and Times: TBD
Location: Port Dickinson Elementary


  • A new offering for our incoming kindergarten students! Students will have the chance to get to know Port Dickinson Elementary better before attending the school this fall.
  • Students will do activities in the classroom, go on a bus ride, eat a meal in the cafeteria, and visit areas such as the gym, library and art room.
  • The program is anticipated for the week of August 16th. An email will be sent to the families of incoming kindergarten students with an invite. Information will also be posted on this webpage.

BOCES Programs

BOCES STEAM 
(Grades 7-10)
Dates: July 19 - July 29, 2021
Times: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Location: One week at BOCES Campus/one week at Maine-Endwell Middle School Campus
  • A two-week, hands-on program that engages students in project-based learning around STEAM through the design cycle. Local engineers and educators team up with students in small learning groups to explore and develop projects with real-world applications.
  •  Groups (7 & 8 / 9 & 10) will switch between one week spent learning at the Broome-Tioga BOCES campus and the other at Maine-Endwell Middle School.
  • Transportation will be provided from CV Middle School. Additional pick up/drop off information will be given at a later date.

BOCES Career Exploration Program
(Students entering grade 6)
Dates: July 19 - July 29, 2021
Times: 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Location: Broome-Tioga BOCES Campus
  • Students entering grade 6 in the 2021-2022 school year will have an opportunity to participate in a two-week, hands-on program designed to engage students in career exploration through fun activities in various fields at Broome-Tioga BOCES.
  • This career and technical education program is designed to expose students to multiple career pathways and the foundational skills necessary to succeed in today’s job market through direct teacher instruction and project-based learning.
  • The program is open to up to 20 CV students. Transportation will be available from CV Middle School. Additional pick up/drop off information will be provided.
