Due to a driver shortage at this time, we want to make sure families are aware of some important transportation updates effective as of April 23, 2024:

PM Routes:
  • Until further notice, middle and high school students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird and 198 Kangaroo in the afternoon. Drop off may be earlier or later than usual.
  • Until further notice, Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird and 206 Eagle in the afternoon. Drop off may be earlier or later than usual.
AM Routes:
  • Until further notice, middle and high school students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Buses 195 Bird, 198 Kangaroo, or 197 Butterfly in the morning. Pick up may be earlier or later than usual.
  • Until further notice, Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary students who ride Bus 208 Wolf will ride Bus 201 Rooster in the morning. Pick up may be earlier or later than usual.

About the Principal

Principal Tom Curry

Mrs. Jennifer Yurko is beyond excited to transition into the principal role at Chenango Bridge Elementary. In 2011, she received her Bachelor of Arts with Discipline Honors in Adolescent and Special Education at Keuka College. Mrs. Yurko earned her Masters in Literacy and Certificate of Advance Studies at Binghamton University. Previously, she was a special education teacher and coordinator of special education at the Johnson City Central School District, and most recently, she was the assistant principal at Maine-Endwell High School.
 
Mrs. Yurko is truly excited to join CV’s community, attending events to see students and meet families and community members. Chenango Bridge Elementary has an exceptional culture filled with adults who strive to enrich each student’s learning. Mrs. Yurko looks forward to working with the team to continue meeting the whole child’s needs and building on the foundation for students to form habits to improve their success throughout their education. Mrs. Yurko is committed to working as a partner with CV families and staff to provide students with a high-quality education where all students are challenged to learn at their greatest potential while balancing students’ social and emotional needs.
