Message from Principal Curry 4-3-2023

Hello Chenango Bridge Students and Families!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!

I wanted to let you know that due to a makeup air motor malfunction, an unpleasant smell was omitted this morning and some teachers chose to temporarily remove their students from classrooms due to the smell. These students remained in the school building and were able to return to their classrooms after approximately 15 minutes. Although the smell faded, some teachers chose to open their classroom windows for additional fresh air.

The makeup air motor is part of the HVAC system that helps to bring in fresh, tempered air from outside of the building through the vents. There is sometimes a smell when these motors go out. Our facilities team is working with the heating and air conditioning company to fix/replace the motor.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out- always here to support our students and families.

With such pride in this building and our work together,
 Tom Curry
