March 24, 2021 Regular Board of Education Meeting

The Chenango Valley Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, March 24, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be open to the public via Zoom, a virtual service. Those who wish may attend the meeting in person at the Warrior Conference Rooms located next to the Chenango Valley Middle School/High School Library, and must meet the criteria listed below. Please note that due to social distancing and safety protocols, there may be limited capacity for in-person attendees.

Guidance for attending in person
In-person attendees must wear a face mask and follow social distancing protocols. Before entering the meeting, you will need to sign in and verify no to the following. If your answer is yes to any of these questions, please do not enter the building.
  • Have you knowingly been in close or proximate contact in the past 14 days with anyone who has tested positive through a diagnostic test for COVID-19 or who has or had symptoms of COVID-19?
  • Have you tested positive through a diagnostic test for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
  • Have you experienced any new or worsening symptoms associated with COVID-19?
    • Fever or chills (100°F or greater);
    • Cough;
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing;
    • Fatigue;
    • Muscle or body aches;
    • Headache;
    • New loss of taste or smell;
    • Sore throat;
    • Congestion or runny nose;
    • Nausea or vomiting; and/or
    • Diarrhea;
    • Flushed cheeks;
    • Rapid or difficulty breathing (without recent physical activity);
    • Fatigue, and/or irritability; and
    • Frequent use of the bathroom.
  • Have you experienced a temperature of greater than 100.0°F in the past 14 days?
In addition, you must meet the New York State Travel Advisory requirements:
  • If you have traveled outside of New York State and its bordering exempt states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Vermont), do you meet the New York State Travel Advisory requirements?

PLEASE NOTE: A moderator will have complete control of this virtual meeting. There will be time allotted for public comment, otherwise public participants will be muted during the meeting. If deemed necessary, disruptive behavior will result in removal from this virtual meeting. If you plan to join the meeting, please include a name to identify yourself. How to Use Zoom 

Zoom can be accessed through the following channels: PCs/laptops/desktops, Chromebooks, mobile devices (including phones and iPads and other tablets)

Tips for using different devices

  • For PCs/laptops/desktops,  you’ll be prompted to download and run the zoom program.  If you don’t have a camera and mic, you can call in and join without video. (You can also block your video. There is a video icon at the bottom.)
  • For Chromebooks, it will ask you to add an extension from the app store. Once you do that, you’ll be able to join.
  • For mobile devices including phones and iPads and other tablets, you will need to download the "Zoom Cloud Meetings" app.
