Good Morning Chenango Valley Middle School,
Today is Monday, March 4th - Day #3
This past Thursday, February 29, was the 13th almost annual Cardboard Boat Race which was followed by the 7th annual STEAM (Science, Technology, English, Arts, and Math) Night. We had over 120 students with 31 boats competed in this annual event. The boat with the fastest time was “PNF-404” (Ash Davis, Daniel Sabol) with a pool time of 55 seconds The winners for Most School Spirit were the “Ladies Warriors” (Annemarie Aimoniotis, Marrisa Gates, Addison McHale, Emma Couch, Hailey Zandt). The winners for the Most Creative Boat were “Jaws” (Gisele Franklin, Avery Panella, Kinsley Williams, Ashlynn Zandt, Kyla McHale). I would like to thank all who participated in this almost annual event, and we look forward to next year’s extravaganza.
Upcoming Events:
- Wednesday, March 6 – 5-week reports sent home with students.
- Thursday, March 7– District Wide Choral Concert @ 7:00 pm MS/HS Auditorium
- Please Note: We will be including many singers and families in the auditorium for this concert. It’s essential to note that the auditorium may reach its maximum capacity. To ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, it is suggested that each student’s family limit their attendance to immediate family members. We advise against inviting extended family or friends to this particular event to mitigate overcrowding concerns. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this concert a memorable experience for all attendees.

- Thursday, March 14 - No School - Conference Day
- Friday, March 15 – No School - Vacation Day
- Wednesday, March 20 – Board of Education Meeting – 7:00 p.m. – Warrior Room B/C – MS/HS Library.
- Thursday, March 21 – National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony – 6:30 p.m. – MS/HS Auditorium.
- Monday, March 27 – Modified Sports begin.
Tech Reminders:
- Chromebooks must be shut down each and every day.
- Chromebooks must be fully charged every night.
- Schoology – Students must check the update tab on the teachers' Schoology page each day for important information from their teacher.
- School Email – Students must check school email daily.
Attendance:
School Attendance is extremely important for all learners. The expectation is that students must attend all scheduled classes. Regular daily attendance is the biggest indicator of educational success. If you are having issues getting your son or daughter engaged in school, please feel free to reach out to me or our Guidance Office for assistance.
