Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary students enjoyed a special virtual visit with author Sandra Markle on June 9.
To prepare for Ms. Markle’s visit, the Chenango Valley Elementary PTA purchased copies of Ms. Markle’s books to distribute one to each class, so students could learn more about her storytelling.
During the virtual visit, students were able to watch Ms. Markle share examples of "science magic" and received inspiration for projects they could do at home with a parent/guardian. Students also learned more about Ms. Markle’s books and were able to ask questions such as when she started writing, how she stays motivated to write, and what her favorite color is.
The Chenango Valley Elementary PTA also delivered some fun items for students to have for the virtual visit to remind them of the author's work in writing about animals.
