Olivia was identified as a scholar for the National Hispanic Recognition Program.

According to a letter from College Board officials, participation in the College Board National Recognition Programs is free and allows students to highlight their outstanding educational achievements to colleges and universities.

Olivia said she hopes this accomplishment could help with future scholarship opportunities. She thanked her support system, including family and friends, for helping her to continue reaching to achieve her full potential.

“The last thing I would want for myself, or anyone, is to look back and think that you could have done better,” she added. “And none of that is about a score or about a number or percentile. It’s just about doing your best and making yourself proud.”

With a passion for the arts, Olivia currently aspires to become an art teacher.
