On October 4, Mrs. Huyck led her students from last year's kindergarten class on a captivating adventure to the raised garden beds at the CV Middle/High School courtyard. Last school year, inspired by the book 'Pumpkin Jack' by Will Hubbell, they placed pumpkin parts, guts, and seed pulp in a container with soil. They witnessed it all rot and decompose and then the seeds germinated and sprouted. Excitement filled the air as the now first-grade students collected the ripe pumpkins, wrapping up this fun learning experience!
