The Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary Schools were excited to hold a Meet-and-Greet and Touch-a-Truck event to introduce their new principals on August 21. The event was held at the Port Dickinson Elementary School.

The Meet-and-Greet event allowed families and students to meet their new principals before the school year begins. Ms. Jessica Carl is the new principal of Port Dickinson Elementary (pre-K – grade 2). Mrs. Jennifer Yurko is the new principal of Chenango Bridge Elementary (grades 3-5). Both began their roles at the Chenango Valley Central School District on July 1.

There was also an exciting Touch-a-Truck experience that provided fun and learning for attendees of all ages. Families had the chance to explore various service vehicles and gained insight into the important work of our community partners.

The event reflected the principals’ commitment to fostering strong relationships. Its goal was to provide a relaxed and enjoyable environment for families to connect with them and other members of the school community.
