Congratulations to Chenango Valley High School ninth grade student, Anthony Valls, for his exceptional performance at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Wrestling Championships in Albany on February 23 and 24. Competing in the 108 lbs. weight class, Valls triumphed in his semifinal match with a 6-4 victory, securing a takedown in overtime and became CV's first-ever State Finalist. Though he faced a challenging battle in the finals and was eventually overcome in overtime, Valls distinguished himself as the highest wrestling State Place Finisher in CV school history by securing second place.

Anthony's journey to the championships was marked by hard work, rigorous training, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His achievement is a testament to his determination and the support of his coaches, family, and the entire Chenango Valley community.
