Transportation Survey

Transportation Survey

Dear Chenango Valley Families,

As we look forward to the prospect of coming back to school this fall, we realize that students’ bus rides may need to look a little different for a while. We are developing a comprehensive safety plan that will include thorough cleaning and disinfection of every bus before every run and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by New York State. In addition, we are analyzing all of our bus routes to come up with the most efficient method of safely transporting our students following the guidelines provided to us by New York State.

Currently, every student within the district is assigned to a bus and route. We realize, however, many of our students are regularly transported to and from school or they may drive themselves. In order to better understand the number of students to be assigned to each bus, we are asking for your input.

Please take a minute to answer two survey questions at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CVTransport2020

We respectfully ask that this survey be completed by the end of the day on Friday, July 17. Your responses are not binding. We will be mailing out transportation request forms in the near future and you will be able to request any changes to your child’s transportation information at that time.

The following questions are included in the survey link listed above:
1.      Student name(s):
2.      Taking into consideration the extra cleaning, PPE, and social distancing plans that are being developed, is it your intention that your child(ren) will be assigned to a bus or will get to school using other methods (i.e. parent transport, walk, student driver, etc.)?  Choose one: a. School bus | b. Anything other than school bus

If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact Chenango Valley Supervisor of Transportation Mrs. Sue Ticknor at [email protected] or (607) 762-6850.
