‘P2’ Activity Focuses on Forgiveness
On October 21, Chenango Valley High School students learned how a few school supplies and a shoe box can help teach a lesson on forgiveness during a “Positivity Project” (“P2”) activity.

Before the activity began, discussion focused on the process of forgiving others and yourself to begin a healing process. After that, students ripped a piece of paper and gave it to their classroom’s “P2” student leader. The student leader then attached it to a shoe box.

Next, students took another piece of scrap paper and wrote a confidential message of forgiveness on it. One at a time, students placed their paper into the shoe box. At the end of the activity, the student leaders explained to their classmates that they were free to let that struggle go.
