Thank you to U.S. Army Veteran Captain Shane (Eaton) Armstrong for sharing an informative Veterans Day presentation with Chenango Bridge students on November 10. She discussed her experiences serving in the Army and answered questions from students. She is also the parent of two Chenango Bridge students!
Captain (Eaton) Armstrong did ROTC in college and was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant upon graduating. She served in the Army as a Medical Service Corps Officer, beginning in 2002, leaving as a Captain in 2007. She served in Germany as an ambulance platoon leader, 15 months in Iraq as an executive officer and convoy commander, and then in Italy as an executive officer in a medical clinic.
In addition to Veterans Day on November 11, this visit tied into the
Positivity Project (P2) character strength of the week: Bravery
Thank you for your service!
