Third grade students from Chenango Bridge Elementary recently gained some new virtual “pen pals” from Elizabeth Church Manor.
Students sent letters digitally to the nursing home, the letters were printed, and staff members shared them with the residents.
The residents were delighted by the kind, thoughtful words shared in each letter.
With the help of their family members, some of the students were even able to virtually “visit” the residents to say hello, chat, and read their letters aloud.
Employees from the nursing home say the letters and special virtual “visits” brightened the spirits of everyone in the facility.
