On February 8, Chenango Valley High School students enjoyed participating in the Science Olympiad regional competition at Maine-Endwell Middle School.

Students took part in various events that tested their knowledge in all branches of science. Dominick Lomonaco and Jacob Brown received a sixth place medal for their design and construction of a gravity car, an event that required them to build a car that would travel a given distance using only the force of gravity to power the car. Dominick Lomonaco and Samuel Bozuhoski also received a sixth place medal for their event "Disease Detectives," which was a written test that required vast knowledge on the topics of biology and disease.
