On January 22, Chenango Valley High School teacher Mrs. Megan Preston led “Warrior Stretch” sessions on mindfulness.
During her presentation, Mrs. Preston shared what mindfulness is and why she feels it is important to practice. She also discussed how mindfulness can be incorporated into both educators' teaching and personal lives.
In addition, Mrs. Preston presented some of the mindfulness techniques and ideas, such as mindful breathing, that she has learned through the New York State Master Teacher Program.
The goal of "Warrior Stretch" is to give faculty members the opportunity to provide their colleagues valuable information to expand their knowledge on school-based topics.
