Port Dickinson Elementary Explores ‘Humility’
Port Dickinson Elementary students reviewed this week’s “Positivity Project” (P2) trait of “Humility” with a morning assembly presentation on December 9.

During the presentation, students learned more about what humility means through a demonstration led by Mrs. Hall with Mrs. Mercik, Mrs. Fassett, and Mr. Novotny acting as students. The “students” had just finished their lunch. While Mr. Novotny seemed to be bragging about all that he was doing to help clean up, Mrs. Mercik and Mrs. Fassett did the same amount of work while showing humility in their clean-up process.

In addition, students listened to the song “Lay It Down,” about what it means to demonstrate humility.

Mrs. Hall finished the presentation with a quote about humility. Through this presentation, students were encouraged to keep in mind the Positivity Project "hashtag" #OtherPeopleMatter by combining this week's character trait with last week's trait of "Kindness."
