Reductive Charcoal Drawing Lessons Help Build Artistic Skills
Mr. Wilson’s painting and drawing students have been working on reductive charcoal skill building as a way to expand their artistic talents. While looking at a model in front of them, students started with a dark background, pulled out the lights and added in shadows. This process helps students to build upon their highlighting and contouring techniques and requires them to closely observe and find each small detail as they draw.
