'Shawna has a Secret' Program held at Chenango Valley
On December 5, parents/guardians had the opportunity to attend a program at Chenango Valley High School to learn how to recognize warning signs of teenage substance abuse.

The “Shawna has a Secret” presentation was put on by representatives from the non-profit organization Truth Pharm (with a grant from the Broome County Opioid Awareness Council). It began with an informative and interactive simulation that helps adults learn how to spot the potential signs of teenage drug use.

After the simulation, representatives from Truth Pharm spoke with participants about topics including warning signs, statistics and where to turn to for help.
