Congratulations to Chenango Valley High School Class of 2019 senior Mallorie Turner who signed a National Letter of Intent to accept a Track & Field scholarship with Binghamton University!
Mallorie was joined by family, friends and members of Chenango Valley staff on December 4 in the Chenango Valley Middle School/High School Library.
Mallorie's many accomplishments include CV girls outdoor track school records for the Long Jump (17’ 5”) and Triple Jump (36’ 11 ½“). She also holds the CV girls indoor track school record for the Triple Jump (34’ 8”). In addition, she was a 2018 varsity track STAC Champion in the Triple Jump. Mallorie’s passion for the sport runs in her family - Mallorie's father, Kyle Turner, also holds a school record for the outdoor 110 hurdles (15.44).
Mallorie said she is grateful for her teammates and the leadership she has encountered. This includes Mr. Robert Zanot who has coached Mallorie for three seasons and spoke about her dedication and talent during the signing event.
“My coaches have really taught me to work hard throughout the seasons and showed me what it’s like to be a part of team and to commit,” Mallorie told local media.
When Mallorie attends Binghamton University, she plans to study biology. Chenango Valley wishes you great success in all of your future endeavors!
