Chenango Valley Students Participate in American Music Abroad Red Tour
(Article Provided By: Kevin Hammill)
Chenango Valley was well represented in Europe this summer, as four of our high school students traveled with the American Music Abroad (AMA) Red Tour. Music students Erin McCollough, Gabe McManus, Teagan Nester, and Jessica Serafini traveled with the AMA Red Tour Band to play at concert venues in France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland! When they were not performing, the students had the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and architecture of each European city they visited. The students thoroughly enjoyed the tour and making friends from school districts all over New York and New Jersey!

The families of each student and CV teacher Mr. Kevin Hammill were able to catch a farewell concert of the Red Tour in early July before the students left for Europe. They were very impressed with the sound of each ensemble. They also enjoyed hearing all of the stories about the tour when our Chenango Valley students returned to America.
