Ninth Graders Learn About BOCES Career and Technical Excellence Program
Chenango Valley High School ninth grade students recently learned more about the opportunities available through the Broome-Tioga BOCES Center for Career and Technical Excellence.

On March 6, Terri Conklin visited the high school to discuss the more than two dozen options offered through the program, such as automotive trade, computer technology, cosmetology and health services, and hospitality. Students learned that by taking part in this program, they would have the chance to receive hands-on training and valuable employment skills.

Students can participate in the program their junior and senior years of high school.

At the end of their class presentations, many students expressed interest in taking part.

Students will have the opportunity to speak with their school counselors in upcoming scheduling meetings to discuss if the program would fit the needs for their future aspirations.
