Thank you to New York State Senator Fred Akshar for visiting Chenango Valley High School and discussing ways to lessen the number of teens and young people vaping with our YES LEADers.
During the meeting, students shared information they discovered through recent research for upcoming presentations. The conversation included statistics on teenage vaping and teen use of JUULs, associated health risks, and ways to help spread information about these potential dangers. The students also discussed legislation that other states are implementing to cut down on teens' access to vaping products.
Chenango Valley YES LEADers will share presentations on the topic of vaping with their younger peers at Chenango Valley this spring.
