Sixth through eighth grade students had a great time taking part in the ninth annual Chenango Valley Middle School Cardboard Boat Races on February 28.
Students put handmade cardboard boats to the test to see if they could carry at least one person the length of the middle school/high school pool and back. In preparation, students studied the basics of boat construction and physics.
Some students built their colorful boats and paddles made of cardboard and duct tape individually; while others chose to work in groups.
Wonderful job to all who participated on their creativity and hard work!
